Granicus and Laserfiche Implementation - Coming Soon!
GRANICUS
In June 2023, we approved a 10-year contract with Granicus for their online agenda building software. We were able to utilize $5,500 of our ARPA Funding to cover the initial implementation cost. Agreeing to the 10 year term not only locked us in at a reasonable price for this service long-term, but it actually provided thousands of dollars of savings over the term of the agreement when compared to the standard 3 year pricing.

LASERFICHE
The Groundwork for Laserfiche implementation began in 2022 when we approved utilizing some of our American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funding for the scanning of years of historical documents. Work on digitizing our records and organizing them into the Laserfiche portal is ongoing, with final implementation just around the corner.
To see how Laserfiche works, take a look at our neighbors to the south - the City of Medina. Public documents - including meeting agendas, minutes, newsletters, ordinances, resolutions and more - are available with the click of a button.
With the implementation of Granicus and Laserfiche software systems together - it will be easier than ever to stay up to date on important issues or to participate in city meetings. From an operational standpoint, they will greatly improve efficiency in a number of ways. For example, if a resident, council member, commissioner - or anyone else - needs to look back for an agenda item, they will be able to easily access the documents through the Laserfiche portal instead of tasking staff with digging through physical records to find the relevant information. Similarly, watching through archived City Council or Commission meetings for discussion a particular topic will be quick and easy with Granicus. Instead of scrolling through several YouTube videos to try to find when discussion takes place, just click on the agenda item you're looking for and you will be brought exactly to the beginning of the discussion on that topic.
Most importantly, these systems are easily scalable as our community grows, without additional cost.
